Hi Teachers! How can parents and room parents best support you during this school year??

We have a 3.5 week old and a 5 year old and a 2 year old. How do yall deal with mom rage? I feel like by the time I know I’d need to take a minute, the rage has already happened. How do yall deal with it bubbling up and stopping it before it happens?

My husband and I are struggling to decide where to send our 4 yo son to pre-K next year. There’s a public school right by our house. Ratings are pretty terrible and he would be the minority (both race and socioeconomically) which I’m not opposed to, but something I haven’t personally experienced. There’s two private schools we are considering but both faith based and we aren’t religious. Great ratings but very little diversity.

I want to give him a great education but also want him to be well rounded and know there’s a world outside his upper middle class white bubble.

I know nothing about Minecraft, but my daughter is obsessed with having this game on her iPad. My husband turned off chat feature etc. but I’m still uneasy. Is this game appropriate for a 1st grader? We limit iPad time to one day per week for specified amount of time.

I have avoided introducing this to my kids, but my 6 year old is asking why other kids have had elf on the shelf and if the elf is coming this year. They talk about it at school I guess. What products do you use in your kids hair? I have zero experience with curly hair! My daughter has very fine curly hair and I’m curious about what shampoo/conditioner, should I be using both? What type of brush? What other products? At the moment I’m just using a shampoo (not curly specific) and detangler but her hair dries very frizzy.

Waiting to hear from the doctor but we’ve had flu in our house and our nearly 9 week old has a fever and I’m just putting two and two together at this point. Any advice? I know there’s not a lot to do except Tylenol (as directed by doc), and monitor her breathing and hydration/eating/demeanor, and watching her fever generally but…any tips or encouragement welcome!

Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in Austin who allows you to delay vaccines?

The days my 4 year old daughter doesn’t nap she wakes up about 2 hours after falling asleep in these crazy freak outs. She is usually just screaming and we can’t calm her down, or she’s crying about something outrageous like “my bunny is wet” when the stuffed bunny is definitely not wet. Takes 15-30 min to calm her. HELP!!!

How to talk to our young kids about what’s appropriate and inappropriate clothing.
For instance, one of my kids, a kindergarten, her friend wears sparkly Taylor Swift sparkly dresses and makeup to school. Having to explain why I don’t feel like that’s appropriate yet her friends mom thinks it’s ok. Explaining why it’s inappropriate, being honest and open about it rather than “because I said so”.

I've stopped drinking, but find myself missing the ritual of an evening glass of wine.

One of my friends was telling me about this cotton stick (sorta like a tampon) that you insert after having sex and it soaks up all the cum/juice/whatever all that stuff is hahaha is this legit?? It would be nice to not have cum dripping out of me the next day even after I pee and shower.
