We have recently purged our house and I have found the limited amount of crap/toys helps. For the toys that we did keep, we practiced a 5 minute cleanup every day before our nighttime show. We put some fun music on and EVERYONE cleans up or no show. If you have a lot of little toys that go in certain baskets, we did picture labels which made it easier for the little ones who can't ready know where to put things. This is not PERFECTION and its ALWAYS a work in progress..... haha

Systems that help your kids pick up after themselves -
Water Filtration SystemsI have done lots of research on this!! We had a Berkey, honestly it was fine but it was super annoying to constantly refill the Berkey. And if you have more than 1 kids, refilling those big bottles it seemed like that thing was empty all the time. We just installed the Aquasana Reverse Osmosis under our sink with the specific no air gap faucet. We LOVE it. That being said, if you are looking at a whole house water filter system (baths, showers etc), I would check out the following companies:

Weekday Playdates: how many?We pick one day / week that is a “play date” day. They can play outside in the front lawn with neighbors but official playdates are saved for one day / week. Set the boundaries early!

6 week old growth spurt? Are you still on a newborn nipple? If so, go up in nipple size so he can get through the bottle faster. He may be hungrier and the slower nipple isn't working. The best advice I got was to try to fit majority of your feedings in the day time, and then if they were a really hungry baby to also do a dream feed (essentially you don't unswaddle them and wake them up around 9/10 and give them a bottle in their sleep). @SnoozeBabyCo will probably have good advice as well!

How do you pick school?!I would agree that there's no "right answer", I think it comes down to whatever gives you the least amount of anxiety. Having a faith based school vs. a school with terrible ratings. You could also transfer in to a better public school near by. I know enrollment has been low at all the Eanes elementary schools so the number of transfers they have taken in has been pretty high!!

Managing burnout and talking to your partner about parenting (and other) issuesI feel all the things that you just wrote! I find my "breakdowns' like you described when I have over committed and I am going on weeks of weeks of no "me/us" time and then I finally lose it. My partner and I have started having weekly, or every other week date nights. Even if that means going for a walk and letting someone else put the kids to bed and feed them. This helps both of us recharge! We have the same babysitter commit to every other Wednesday.
