I have a teen and a pre teen. They are driving me nuts! All of the bickering and just plain being rude to each other. The one is learning to drive and thinks she knows everything there is to know while the other won't wear deodorant!
My first will be 3 in December and was born super early at 29 weeks. She has Cerebral Palsy. It is highly likely I will have another c-section so feeling extra nervous about not being able to show up for her in the ways she needs.
How are we traveling when the baby outgrows the Doona and we still need to take Ubers? Weโre going to New York this summer and my daughter has outgrown the Doona!
Ok I have to be very clear - I have no problem with her not shaving, but I'm worried about her being made fun of by friends. I'm just letting it roll and figure she can make her own choice. Right? I just need other insight here on how you handle the change of hormones without making your kids feel like they should conform to the norm?
I'm starting to think about after-school care for the fall (feels way too soon but I'll go crazy if I don't figure it out!) I'll have a 3rd grader and kindergartener. I'm debating the after-school program at the elementary school vs hiring a college kid to come hang with them for a few hours until I can get home from work. College kid will likely be more expensive but maybe they could help with laundry/light dinner prep? Does anyone have any hot takes either way?
How many of y'all just let your kid throw on something on the TV for a bit after school? I'm caving to this rainy day and I need to feel better about that choice! 3 kids under 8, one sick. Mama is tired.
My son has a summer birthday (June) and he is one of the youngest in his grades, he is currently in 1st grade but wondering if anyone has held back their son/daughter in the middle of elementary school or even 5th grade?? would love any and all advice!!!
We still feed and nap on demand, which works for us schedule-wise, and she only wakes up once at night. But wondering if sheโs supposed to be getting some kind of structure by this age?
My 5 yr old son still canโt say his โrโ sound and has a bit of a lisp. I donโt think weโre getting anywhere on our own but donโt know if this is worth getting into therapy before he starts kindergarten in the fall. Would love to hear from others!
My husband pulled out his OG Nintendo to play with our 6 year old. I am finding myself cleaning and taking care of the other kids at night. With bad attitudes if I ask for help from both. Lost a partner and gained another kid. Seeing that I am gaining more responsibility at night and loosing out on bonding time as a family. I would love to know what has worked for your family as video games are introduced.
I have a a 7 year old with special needs who is daytime potty trained but not yet night time trained and he is constantly soaking through his pull up. Iโm tired of washing sheets! Weโve used pampers and ninjamas. Should I double up? Try another brand?
