I keep catching myself annoyed at what I’m being asked to do for the amount of compensation. Has anyone been here? Tips on mindset shift? A less demanding job is best for our family but geeze, feel like I can’t win!
I am freaking out a bit and would love advice!! I have been remote for 8 years and they are mandating us going back to the office. As a working mom, flexibility is crucial for me (throw the peed on sheets into the dryer during the day, parent teacher conferences etc).
Commute with traffic will be atleast 30-45 minutes, if I can leave before traffic more like 20-25 min. Both my husband and I work and my job has usually been more flexible. I could look into aftercare options available but I have kids at two different schools so more complicated. Either way, part of what I love is being able to be there for my kids when they get home say hi get a snack/show on and then can always hop back on for a call if needed!
Would love any and all advice from working moms who are in office or have had to transition to going back in the office.

Hey team,I currently work from home for a title company. What I do is a little “nichey” and am not necessarily looking to stay in the industry. While I do have some flexibility and autonomy I’m not challenged whatsoever and there’s no upward mobility in this role. Add in a funky housing market and I’m simply not making enough money to support our family. I’m looking for something new and don’t know where to start. I need and want flexibility with two young kids but also want a promising, fulfilling career path. Preference to working from home/hybrid. I’m open to looking to new industry. My career trajectory has been more of a jungle gym than a straight line but my experience ranges from nonprofit, design industry and now title industry. Would love to network with any of you that might have some experience with this!
Does anyone have experience as a fractional CCO or communications consultant? I'm really struggling with a demanding, in-office job and want to try to set myself up for a more flexible working environment when my oldest enters kindergarten in a year. Would love insight/experience!
I've been a stay at home mom for the past 6+ years, married for 10 and always relied on my husbands job. I want to start making my own money, saving for trips, bathroom remodel, nice jewelry etc. Where can I find a job that allows me to juggle the house work (laundry, meals, cleaning, drop off, pick up, after school classes etc) and actually make some money? IS THIS A UNICORN I'M LOOKING FOR?
