I swear we have tried to budget for the last 6 months and it is SO hard. I am wondering if moving to a smaller city would help, or it's all the same. I feel like these days you have to be making $500K to live comfortably and save any money if you live in a bigger city (aka houston, dallas, charlotte, etc.).
How much do you save each month for your kids college funds? My husband and I both contribute to a 529 monthly but it doesn't seem like it will be nearly enough by the time they go to college. I'm wondering what other families do and if you feel like you are in a good place?
we are not eating out, not getting coffee out, trying to have cheaper dinners at home, not shopping, like it feels like BARE MINIMUM and I was still shocked at the total. Feels like it should be closer to $10k not double that. Feeling defeated!
I currently have a chase saffire card, but the annual fee is going up so I am deciding if it's worth it or I should be exploring another CC. Would love to learn about others and the benefits, or if I should stay with my current one!
Our nanny is getting Dec 20-Jan 4 off as we travel through the holidays. We will be paying her for these two weeks even though she won't be working. Do we still give a xmas bonus? If so, how much?!
We are trying to hire a nanny for $25/hr, and I am having trouble figuring out financially how we can make this happen. Being even on what seems like the lower end of a nanny rate, how is everyone affording nanny, camps etc. Being thankful this is anonymous because Iβm honestly just wondering what is everyoneβs income for your total household income to afford all these things!
Now that Southwest Airlines wonβt be much different than the other airlines Iβm looking into a new credit card. What is your favorite card? Most our money is spent on daycare and the grocery store.
Our CC bill is always around 20k a month. This includes daycare and utilities. I feel like this is really high? We donβt spend extravagantly-is it really just this expensive to live?
