One of my kids had this+a cheek tie ‍
️ if in austin I think the most recommended place is green apple. She ultimately told me that we didn’t have to do it bc it wasn’t severe enough. All these years later and I wish we had.
You can try cranial myofacial therapy first and see if it helps!

Tongue/Lip Ties in young children -
VaccinationAlright we’re going there. I was similar to you. No two kids are the same so I’m not comfortable with the same vaccination plan for every child.
Something to discuss with your pediatrician and take into account family history etc
If a pediatrician were to dismiss my concerns and provide a blanket answer then that’s a red flag for me.
Basically it’s personal and individualized and I realize that doesn’t help answer your question but something to discuss with the right pediatrician -
Career adviceAnother mom said she switched to a career that wasn’t client facing and had more projects vs meetings. I thought that was super insightful and what I’ll look for in my next gig

After School Nanny - do you offer things like PTO?I agree with the other poster that there is a different in career nanny and college girl. Another determining factor is the number of hours they work. If it’s part time then I technically don’t think you have to provide paid PTO days, but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone in HR can chime in bc now I’m thinking about it…

Best way to lose weight and get in shape?!I've taken a supplement with berberine in it called Glucosupreme that my naturopathic doctor recommended. I found it to work better for me in terms of blood glucose regulation and reducing belly fat; this is in addition to cleaning up my diet and being consistent with working out. Godspeed!!

Travel SnacksAssuming your kids are young-I try to find snacks that double as an activity
so things like the Nutella sticks where the kid has to dip the stick into Nutella is good bc it also keeps them occupied.
Annie’s has pull a part gummies which is good for the same reason. -
Cold lunch ideasThat’s so funny lol!
Following as we can always use more ideas, but our kids like yogurt (can pop in the freezer for 30min to keep it cold), sliced bell pepper, olives, mandarin oranges, apples, turkey and cheese roll ups, cucumbers, berries, meat sticks/chomp sticks, perfect bars, pesto pasta salad hmmm thinking -
Burnt out of life in generalI’m so burnt out. Burnt out of being a mom, wife, employee. Burnt out of deadlines, remembering everything, kids homework and getting them to school in the morning.
I’ve never felt like this before. Any advice on next steps? Obviously taking a break from life is not possible. -
Returning to WorkAlso refrigerate your pump parts, def do not wash them every single time. Just refrigerate and wash once every evening. Bring a plastic bag to store them in

Returning to WorkI used to feel guilty for outsourcing until I realized that tasks were getting done WHILE I was in meetings aka when TF was I going to do it?? DUHHHH
I have someone fold and put away my laundry, I Instacart, door dash, my husband and I split drop off/pick up, my kids buy lunch (gasp!), I have a target pick up order about 3 times a week.Put a buffer on your calendar for first thing in the morning. Never start your mornings with meetings bc you just never know what the morning will bring. Try and cluster your meetings, especially by days if you can.
If you can work whichever time zone allows you the most time with your family.

Give the good, the bad, and the ugly on Ozempic? I’m really tempted to start but nervous. I have about 20ish lbs to lose to feel comfortable againI did not lose as much weight as some of my friends bc it made me feel hungover. And when I’m hungover I eat carbs etc
But I feel like most people have great success. It also destroyed my energy levels. I still lost weight but maybe .5lb-1lb a week. I was expecting more!! -
15 year old - friends over familyFrom my friends with teen boys, this sounds very normal. I actually think I remember from one of my college psychology classes that this is a healthy part of development. It would be weird if they stayed as close with their mom as when they were in elementary school. I know it must be hard though!!

Am I at war?! Neighbors dog shitting in our new yard.I would just meet them and then bring it up if it keeps happening. Until you meet them then clean it up and move on.

Chemical pregnancy@bluedolphin ugh I am so sorry!!!!!! I’ve been through this and took the pills. I didn't want any other further scarring or complications on top of the loss.
The pills were not pleasant (not that any of this is ever pleasant), and there was really bad cramping for a day or two, much worse than my losses (3) that I just allowed to pass naturally. It was pretty much over after a couple days while the natural ones I bled for about a month each. It isn't a easy decision
brighter days ahead 🫶

ADHD but Not Ready to MedicateLove this topic! We do a good Omega 3, multi vitamin and magnesium, we use Nordic Naturals for the Omega 3 and Mary Ruth's for the others. Limited refined sugars, no gluten, starting to limit dairy. We don't do food dyes, annatto or caramel color. And lots and lots of sunshine and outside play. My son is a totally different kid than he used to be.

How did I get the job of Summer Camp Bitch?Yeah this is such a great question that I can relate to deeply. What if husbands were in charge of lunches all summer? Not nearly the same mental load but at least it’s something and visual way everyday they’re helping

Sex Drive Rating3.5 on average. If he takes all the kids to school (with a good attitude) and helps pick up the house (without being asked) 7. If he does my Amazon returns, 9.

Home + Work + Money@Black-Zoo
I think the lack of meetings is so crucial here. This is actually a light bulb moment for me. I work from home and I’m slammed all day long but I’m client facing. When I’m ready to look again it will be something with less meetings -
Going from 2 kids to 3Yayy!!!! This exact thing happened to us. I cried for a very long time (weeks) bc I was so overwhelmed at the thought. I now CANNOT imagine our lives without our third. He brings such a good dynamic to the family and I’m SO much more of a chill mom. Nothing phases me anymore, it’s lovely.
What would recommend is to start out sourcing now if you can, so whomever is helping you is already in a groove once baby gets here. Postpartum is different with 3 bc life doesn’t pause. Honor yourself with every aspect of support you think you will need.
You’ve got this, I’m excited for you!!
