Superga for a preppy adult keds look

    Pricier options:

Prada has some crisp whites and neutrals

That said, I am not a GG fan but I like some of the upcoming season's. A little different of a direction for them.

We like jovial. They have a ton if shapes which makes it seem different enough. I have found banza (especially) and goodles to be mushy and gummy. Check out define dish's gf options. They are usually pretty easy. * if you do a crockpot type meal or soup, I recommend cooking the pasta separately and adding it later so it isn't too soft.

  • Cavities filled and oral conscious sedation
    H hanginbyathread

We had to do it twice in the last year for our 8 year old with SEVERE anxiety and it was much easier than I thought. He wasn't asleep but might as well have been. I felt really defeated to learn he had cavities but the enamel strength is genetic and sometimes, you do everything right and it still happens. He was numb for an hour after he came to and that annoyed him but was fine. He hung out the rest of the day but would have been capable of doing something. Every kid reacts differently though. I think most would nap. I will say, the laughing gas option isn't good for a lot of people bc their body can't remove it efficiently afterwards. Same thing with sedation but it's better than the laughing gas (for us). I learned he and I have that issue through genetic testing and we do a glutathione suppository day before and after to help detox. You can do it! Good luck!

  • Family vacation you would do again???
    H hanginbyathread

The Cloister in Sea Island is very kid centric. Trips to the candy store, dock fishing, bowling alley, pinball machines and after dinner family bingo fill the days. You can get a traditional hotel room or one oceanside with a kitchenette. They will do a grocery order beforehand if you ask. The little town of St. Simons is cute and quaint with shopping, casual restaurants and the pier. Just don't go in the heat of the summer or you will be miserable.

Love, love Chileno Bay in Cabo but it's pricey. Jids eat free different times of the year. My 6 year old likes the kid's club but the 9 yr old has aged out. They have a video game room he likes to hang in and the restaurants are great. Definitely more a luxury hotel that has some kids things vs a kid vacation but sometimes, adults need somethyng geared towards them 😉 Go off property to La Huerta for dinner. Great golfing, which may or may not be a plus on vacay lol

We just did Hawaii, also awesome, but have found it difficult to do activities (zip lining, swimming w manta rays, bike down the volcano) without both kids being 8 or older.

Myakoba in Mexico is an easy flight from Austin and both the Fairmont and Rosewood are good. Fairmont is more lively, Rosewood more high end and quiet. There is a nearby waterpark in one of the Mayan ruins that is cool.

Rented a house in Punt Mita for spring break and it was great. It's it's own little golf cart friendly compound of homes, beach clubs, St. Regis and Four Seasons. Can't beat a Four Seasons kids club if you have littles! If you rent a house, make sure it has a membership to one of the surrounding clubs.

I have notoriously hard to buy for men in my life so here is a list of somewhat original ideas they seemed to have liked.

    Clothing:
Vuori! So soft and washes well so you won't be annoyed.

Rayban Wayfarers- they look good on everyone!

Floafers- waterproof loafer/ drivers. Great for summer!

    Ugg ascot slipper-
    www.nordstrom.com/s/4922169?color=219&size=7&width=m

Mizzen and main shirts- they are a thin, self wicking material and perfect for Texas heat. St. Bernard and Nords usually have them in stock if you don't have time to order.

    Golf:
Guilt free golf or promised series of future golf outings. Like really guilt free. Want to go crazy? Suggest or plan a golf men's only golf trip.

Hack motion golf sensor- measures your golf swing and helps you make adjustments. This year's gift so will report back!

    A nice golf shoe bag

    Personalized club covers

    Wine:
The cold cork- Got this for my dad. Flash chills wine or other bevs.

Coravin wine preservation system. A must for a wino

    Wellness:
Anything therabody-My husband uses the mini gun almost every day. If you want to spend, the leg compressors are amazing too!

Oura ring- want your hubby to cut back on drinking? You can really see the negative impact on and stress alcohol adds to your body and I guarantee he won't want to ever again. May not be good for everyone lol

Higher dose PEMF mat-This is expensive but is my husband's current favorite thing. He swears it relaxes him every night.

A good portable cooling fan. The specific brand we have is no longer made but if you can find an Icy Breeze Buddy or Cooler/Portable AC on the resale market, they are awesome! Here is something similar

Charging station with Valet for watch and wallet
    Watch rotator

    Sentimental:
You can find all kinds of engraved things on Etsy. I had some pics my kids drew engraved on a keychain and money clip one year. I thought about having them write something for cufflinks.

Bought a cheap wooden frame and had the kids decorate it for my dad. Put a pic of them with him in it called it a day. He teared up!

    Misc
Subscription boxes- bacon of the month, Breo Box, GQ and Gentleman's Box are all good

    We also loved Succession!

More recent- Ozark (I love dark, okay!), Your Honor, House of Dragons, Burden of Proof, the Jinx Documentary (there are 2 parts: 2015 and 2023 and you could.not.have.written.this better!), Curious Case of Natalia Grace Docu (another crazy one).

    Currently- Mobland

Flonase, Afrin if I'm desperate. Maybe it's a placebo effect but I feel like peppermint, lemon balm and RC essential oils in a diffuser and on my chest (diluted in a carrier oil) helps. My husband swears by daily use of Navage. It's like an electric netipot and has made his allergy season manageable. I second Viracid and also do goldenseal, echinacea and Standard Process's sesame seed oil, thymex and congaplex. Melatonin has been shown to have some anti viral function and you have to sleep well to heal so I always add that in too!

    Fajita Burritos!
Get some pre marinated fajita meat, cook it on the side, let it rest for 5 and cut against the grain. Roll it up in a tortilla with shredded cheese and fold the sides in halfway through, keep rolling. Put seam side down in a sauté pan with melted butter on medium and that will seal and crisp it. You can turn it over to crisp the other side or leave as is. Serve with lime rice and avo. Can slice up bell peppers and sauté them with evoo, salt , pepper and garlic powder until soft but still slightly crunchy. We do Mission GF tortillas
