Is your 5 year old having issues now that would make it necessary to get it corrected?
My son also has one and he’s older, but the dentist said it wasn’t necessary for us to fix specific to his case. Usually they have feeding issues as a baby, did your daughter struggle at all with breastfeeding?

️ if in austin I think the most recommended place is green apple. She ultimately told me that we didn’t have to do it bc it wasn’t severe enough. All these years later and I wish we had.
You can try cranial myofacial therapy first and see if it helps! -
We had it done on my oldest when he was four and a half years old. We were solving open mouth breathing, sleep apnea like symptoms and speech (he was able to speak but wasn’t make the letters correctly, he sounded very nasally). And yes it helped all of those things. Dr. Evy at green apple was AMAZING and she’s known for being very conservative.

@MotherShip My daughter struggled sooo much with breastfeeding. Concerns now are mouth breathing, bed wetting and enlarged tonsils. Some doctors sedate for this and some don’t. I was curious also if anyone did this without sedation, how did it go
