Melatonin-free sleep vitamins for kids and teens?
-
Does anyone have a magic concoction to help kids and teens to wind down at night? Specifically looking for something without melatonin!

My kids do really well with RelaxMax. It's a magnesium powder you dissolve in water (or any liquid). I feel like it helps their muscle aches at night when they are growing too.

I can tell you what not to do (equally as helpful?). I just bought an expensive AF magnesium spray to spray on my kid’s feet and legs before bed and they say it itches and refuse to use it. The pharmacist said it tingles so maybe thats the “itching” sensation…who knows, but never again

Calm gummies. But I have also used melatonin for a kiddo who has a very active brain. Not every night but when she can't shut her brain off. Per her functional medicine doctor it is much more important for her to sleep. So using it periodically is fine.

I recently bought Hiya night time vitamins with magnesium but it’s hard to say how much it works. It might help a little. My 3-year old son still has the zoomies and wants to party at bedtime every night.
