  • Snack drama
    P pinkpuppy

I shifted dinner time to 4:30pm and it’s helped get more healthy foods in and less snacks….especially after elementary school day. Like the previous post, the challenge is “family dinner” with dad too. Still trying to figure that out 🤪

Is this an option for women past child bearing years that don’t want to have a period anymore? Risks, recovery, experiences? What are the other options for those of us who just don’t want a period!

  • Do you provide dinner for your babysitters?
    P pinkpuppy

I don’t order food separate from the kids, but I do try and offer something decent for sitters. Like if we are doing pizza, I’ll make sure to have a good salad with it. Tortellini with a good sauce on the side + salad is also a go to

I had a friend make me an awesome breakfast casserole when I had a baby. It was nice to have something packed with protein etc. and ready for breakfast since other people delivered mostly dinner items

  • Best Plates and Bowls for Kiddos?
    P pinkpuppy

I have used the target multi color set for years now. They can be dropped, clean easy, etc. They’re plastic so that might not work for you, but they’re inexpensive and the kids like them!

  • Screen Time Strategy for Summer

I don’t like the whole “can I have iPad time” conversation all the time, so I set clear boundaries. iPad time is allowed on weekends only during school year and during summer

I’m sending him golfing with his dad for the day and home made cards from the kids. Super simple!

I have used R&F and Revitalash. I think Revitalash works slightly better with less irritation but both work!

We had a great family trip to Dreams Playa Mujeres. It’s an all inclusive with a kids club, water park, etc. The flight to Cancun is super easy out of Austin.

  • Neighbor dog barking
    P pinkpuppy

We have new neighbors renting the house next door to us. The houses are close together and their dog barking is driving me crazy. It’s off and on all day long (deep and loud). And if we are outside, he barks at us right at the fence. I haven’t yet met this new neighbor….what do I do?! If you’re a dog owner, would you be offended if your neighbor voiced their frustration with your dog?

I agree that skill set is importantly to consider. I have seen several administrative/assistant roles available that are fully remote and part time hours or flexible hours. I’ve also seen marketing roles, graphic design, and accounting roles that are also work from home/flexible/part time. Check out The Mom Project

@Colorful-three you can change the beneficiary of 529 to another child if you have others going to school. You can also roll it into a Roth IRA (with some contribution limits) if you opt not use it for education

There are different options but we opted for my529. You can read on the tax benefits. We have auto payments every month

We are not modest at all. I still shower with my kids (oldest almost 7) and don’t see that changing any time soon. I want to mention all my kids are girls so I don’t have opposite genders. I once heard a specialist recommend being as modest as the most modest person in the household
