Moms of curly headed toddlers:All of my girls are curly . My favorite for fine hair is It’s a 10 but dilute it with water. It can be too heavy without diluting and the product will last much longer! I comb with a wide tooth comb after spraying onto wet hair and then scrunch and let air dry. Ideally dry before sleeping on it but that’s not always realistic. Then next morning, I avoid brushing. You can spray with water and a little product for a refresh!

Bday gift for a girlfriend who has everything?I love Etsy for more personalized gifts IF I remember to plan ahead. It doesn’t have to be extravagant or expensive…pretty kitchen towels, a personalized ornament for this time of year. Other ideas for last min - good local coffee, nice wine

Elf on the ShelfI have avoided introducing this to my kids, but my 6 year old is asking why other kids have had elf on the shelf and if the elf is coming this year. They talk about it at school I guess. I really don’t want to do it….I feel like it’s just another distraction from what this season is about plus the time/energy component. Any advice?!

3rd Row SUV Help??We love our expedition. It’s big, but I don’t go downtown and primarily use it in my small errand/neighborhood circle and road trips. Plenty of trunk space and we like the bucket seat layout.

Disney Vacay - best time of year and advice??How old are your kids? This would drastically impact my Disney strategy! Im the person that has a written out plan - all meals reserved/planned, ride order, departure times, etc. Highly recommend fast pass and rope dropping even though it’s early. We like fast a furious in the morning and then slow paced afternoons when it’s peak crowds. We also enjoy good cocktails and meals in the evenings. Happy to share past itineraries if needed!

MinecraftI know nothing about Minecraft, but my daughter is obsessed with having this game on her iPad. My husband turned off chat feature etc. but I’m still uneasy. Is this game appropriate for a 1st grader? We limit iPad time to one day per week for specified amount of time.

How to encourage solo play?I find that having bins in rotation helps. Then I put them away where they are out of site/mind for a while and interesting to come back to. For example, one bin might have dinosaurs and some accessories. Another bin might be magnatiles, next one is legos. I think it’s less overwhelming for them to figure out what to play and prevents them from going to the same stuff and getting bored. Oh and my kids love water too….4 year old will sit in empty tub for 45 minutes playing scrubbies with a bit of water in the little scrubby tub. No mess bc it’s isolated in the bath.
