ADHD resources30 Mar 2025, 17:20@Black-Zebra medication was something that drastically helped me, I was diagnosed 2 years ago and getting on vyvanse helped me implement all of the ideas below. I’m on a low dose and it has made me the person I always knew I could be but couldn’t figure out how to be.

What is a standard night nurse rate? And are there any MUST ASK questions prior to hiring one?18 Mar 2025, 19:07Hi! I’d ask for references, how many hours they work per night if you haven’t already. We had one with all three of our kids, every other night varying from 2-8 weeks. We were fortunate enough to be grandfathered in to a lower rate but the now going rate is usually at least $30/hour. Ours also folded laundry and did dishes when she was there while the baby slept (she had a monitor with her to keep an eye on the baby). The first two weeks there’s a lot of sleeping with a newborn but then they really wake up. I have heard of some nurses now requiring minimum hours and depending on how long they work for you, certain paid time off and paid either 1099 or w-2. We never ran into that but I have heard of that happening.

Almost 9 week old with possible flu - help?29 Nov 2024, 15:00Waiting to hear from the doctor but we’ve had flu in our house and our nearly 9 week old has a fever and I’m just putting two and two together at this point. Any advice? I know there’s not a lot to do except Tylenol (as directed by doc), and monitor her breathing and hydration/eating/demeanor, and watching her fever generally but…any tips or encouragement welcome!

Favorite Things White Elephant Ideas29 Nov 2024, 14:58I always like to give things that elevate daily life in your house or for yourself - maybe something that you would feel ridiculous buying yourself - like kitchen gadgets that’ll cut and seal a cereal bag, a set of linen like guest towels for the bathroom, a fun wine stopper (anthro has so many), festive tea towel, also just bought myself the Owalla coffee tumbler and it’s INCREDIBLE and doesn’t leak and was reasonably priced, a set of garden shears to cut flowers, generic gift tags for birthday gifts, an air tag, etc.! So many options depending on the price point.

2 year old shrieking at nap time/middle of the night11 Aug 2024, 20:26Our two year old has started to wake in the middle of the night, and shrieks like a banshee until I’m worried she’s going to throw up. We’ve tried calming her, rocking her, letting her cry it out. It’s not night terrors, she’s definitely is awake and just ultimately gets pissed off and works herself up. Any advice?
