Hi! We have two sons - one is a summer birthday June, and the other is May. Would love any advice on sending our son to kinder on time and him being on the younger side, or holding him back and him being much older. There are no signs around academics or social that would come into play. Hoping for those moms with older kids to offer advice who have been through it!

Summer Baby - send to kinder or no? -
Lice help!!The dreaded lice...all 3 of my children HAD lice and little did I know I had it as well. My husband of course got away without having it! Lice Fairies in Austin TX was a life saver... we went into the salon and they removed everyone's lice.

Also there's a lice company that comes to your house that my friend had great experience with: https://www.licedoctors.com/locations/austin#:~:text=Contact LiceDoctors today at 512,embrace a lice-free lifestyle!

Kindergarten Help!Agree with the above! Have patience for the first 1-4 months. I think the transition depends on if your child has been in a full time daycare, or more like a mother's day out. Our son still napped (shocking) so we had a bit of a transition as he was exhausted! There were LOTS of emotions those first couple of months. I always greeted him at the bus or as soon as he walked in with a snack with some type of protein, he was starving.
Also, it helps to have a few familiar faces before they start the year. If you know any kids that will be going to kinder with yours I would get together with them.

Weaning off steroid, specifically floventHi! Our little girl was put on a steroid inhaler "flovent" after having a few respiratory viruses and RSV. We worked with a pulmonologist and he recommended flovent 2 times daily. I did it for awhile, but I do NOT want my 9 month old on a steroid for the next 2 years. When asked about weaning, he was very defensive and tried to make me feel bad and not recommend it. Hoping someone has had experience with Flovent and getting off of it!!
