@Mommy-long-legs
Love this list but Big Sky is REALLY cold and windy. At least when we went. Prob would only do adults there imo
Agreed Red River,NM and Angel Fire, NM are good beginner skiing

I like the strawberry margarita from PAMOS. Ranch water is good for a super hot day
I agree that it’s all from China now!! Maybe it always was but for some reason it feels cheaper in the last year or so. I only use in dire situations. I actually gave it up for the summer as we don’t “need” anything. I also unfollowed the influencers. I’m waiting for a documentary to come out about the influencer+amazon partnership and how it’s negatively affected American households. I don’t know if it’s being developed but it should be!
All that rambling to say, just go cold turkey and give it completely. I promise you’re not missing out. It’s not like it was when it first launched. It’s all crap now
DICKS has 20% off YETI for Father’s Day. I’m thinking of getting him a yeti coffee cup or new cooler.
He also wants a paddle board (Costco has some-he’s just paddling around not going to the Olympics so it should work).
Poncho shirt-boring but I know he’d like it
My husband recently got some from a cbd/thc store. They aren’t the full blown mushrooms because he bought them in a store (in a chocolate bar) but it was still relaxing. That could be a good entry for you. Call around to your local gummy stores and see if they carry it
Curious as to everyone’s favorite food to bring to the lake/beach? Dips, apps, anything to share. Looking for ideas! Thanks!
@mommysaur88 take a look at what the EMA recommends. I tend to trust the EMA more than the FDA. Obvi include your pediatrician in the discussion.
Dr Sears has a book and pdf of a slower schedule. It may be outdated as my kids are older but also may have come out with revisions, I haven’t checked.
My neighbor had them lasered/cauterized. I’ll send this question to her so she’ll hopefully answer. But it was an out patient procedure, very minimal downtime or pain. Wish I had more details for you! I will say some of them came back but hers were severe
We’re in austin so it’s a little easier with the nice weather but we are doing all play dates outside during winter break. 50% of my child’s elementary school was absent largely due to flu A before going out on break. Oof!
Other than that washing hands, currently detoxing sugar from Christmas, getting outside in sunshine everyday, all the normal stuff
I’m hoping to read more in 2025. I’d love to know what made the top of your list this year??
We allow them with very few families who we know extremely well who parent similarly and it has to be 1:1. In our experience when it’s a group is when things go south. It’s rare and a special thing for us. My kids ask all the time though. I actually think my kids like the idea of it more than actually enjoying the sleepover
Healthy-ish chicken pot pie. So easy, my girlfriend who is a terrible cook gave the recipe to me. Everyone in my fam loves it which rarely happens
What are y’all getting your girlfriends who have everything for their bdays?
I’m not an expert, just a mom, but I would try sitting in a chair in his room to start. Then when he conquers that move to standing in his room. Then standing at the door, then standing outside the door etc
It’s exhausting 🫠
I hate it so much but my kids LOVE it. It’s actually a great motivator for goals and behavior for the kids bc our elf leaves notes complimenting their hardwork.
Our elf comes Dec 1 and brings some games for the family to play together. Godspeed!
Park City, UT if you don’t mind the cold. Utah is crazy family friendly with lots to do
We have an aqua sauna reverse osmosis at our kitchen sink. We want to do the entire house but the installation price was astronomical
I previously used beauty counter. Would especially love if I could buy at ulta or Sephora. Thanks!! Also would really really love links
I’m also interested in this as we don’t currently own tablets. If we fly then my kids watch a movie on a shared laptop and use a headphones splitter or they each get an air pod.
Doona, bouncer, something to hold the baby hands free
