Now that it’s staying brighter later, we’ve been eating dinner on the back porch and then staying outside until it’s bath/showers and time to get ready for bed

Oral sex honestyI have no idea if it’s the norm or not bc it’s never talked about. But it’s my favorite way to make sure I’m enjoying sex equally as much as my husband. Close your eyes and try to breathe and relax. Or maybe it’s just not your thing which is fine too!

Party Favor BagsOne of my kids really likes them so I do them, not because I want to!
Tattoos, candy, the punching balloon things, race car (younger boys) have all been used. For girls: finger nail polish, sleep eye mask, pens, tattoos, slap bracelets
We’ve had a custom cookie before that was nice. Bubbles for younger kids.

ADHD resourcesI just thought of this, always having a plan helps me. “When I pull in the driveway I’m going to immediately do xyz task” that will keep me from sitting in my car for 20min scrolling bc transitions are hard.
Or “when I get out of the shower I’m going to put on the orange and pink dress and go fill up my waterbottle” this will keep me from sitting in my bed in my robe for an hour.Time blocking my day on my calendar is helpful. Todo lists written out by importance of the task.
Ear plugs for noise overstimulation.
People love to joke about it but it actually kinda sucks-while simultaneously being my super power. You got this!

ADHD resourcesFirst, superrrrr common for women to be diagnosed later in life. We are masters at getting done whatever needs to get done…until we can’t-cue motherhood x multiple children+working etc
I have adhd and have taken medication for it for 15 years. I’ll be honest, getting it filled every month is a huge pain in the ass but I don’t really have a choice.
Recently I have felt like it’s unhinged and have had so much shame around how my brain works and what I’m able to get done in a day etcI know we’re not supposed to do this, but I follow several adult adhd Instagram accounts which help. I’m actually in the process of looking for an executive functioning coach to help me manage. Ugh!

What is a standard night nurse rate? And are there any MUST ASK questions prior to hiring one?I paid $38/hr and she stayed 10pm-6am. I would highly recommend, even if it’s once a week. Mentally it makes a huge difference knowing that you will have some sort of reprieve in the pipeline.
When she came I would have my husband sleep in a separate room/on the couch bc she would bring the baby to me to nurse and wanted him to get a full night sleep so he could help me when the nurse wasn’t there. You can ask if she’ll be awake the entire time, if she’ll wash pumping parts/bottles, and if she will take complete care of the baby outside of feeds.
It was also nice to have someone to talk to during feeds in the wee hours of the morning and she helped with the latch. Maybe ask about lactation certifications too!
Yay! Go mama go!!

Anyone gotten implants and/or a lift post kids?I’ve done the consult with Dr Gordon but haven’t followed through (yet).
I want a lift just bc I want to avoid having an implant in my body. It won’t look as nice as an implant but I’m fine with that. We discussed doing a fat transfer. My friend had them done by the same Dr and she wanted a natural look and that’s what she got but she’s contemplating going back for a revision to make them perkier and less natural looking haha

Driving from TX to 30AIt’s worth renting a suburban/minivan if you don’t have one. We did it a few years back in my midsize suv and it was not enough room.
The kids did a lot better than I anticipated. We drove anytime they slept and stopped when they were up (duh). I don’t have any recs for specific places to stop but following bc I would like to know, as well.
