  • Expectant New Moms: this bud's for you

I’m thrilled to share something new for our community. 💛

For years, Austin has had amazing resources for kids- if you know where to look—but almost nothing just for expectant or first-time moms. We’re changing that. Through Kinda Krazy Kids & Kompany, a beloved 22-year-old local toy store, I'm launching Westlake’s first Mom’s Club for expecting and brand-new moms—and you’re invited to be one of the first to join. 🎉

As a mom of three young girls and someone who walked through years of trying to become a mom myself, I know how much it means to find people who really get it. My background in community building and my passion for creating safe, joyful spaces for families inspired this new chapter. I truly believe every mom deserves a village—and I’m honored to help build one right here in Austin.

    💫 Why join?
Because preparing for a baby is joyful… and hard. The emotions, the questions, the isolation—it’s a lot. But it shouldn’t be something you do alone.

🌿 Studies show that new mothers with strong social connections experience up to 50% lower rates of postpartum depression.
🌿 Just having one supportive peer group can significantly improve mental health and reduce anxiety.
🌿 According to the CDC, around 1 in 8 women experience postpartum depression—but support and community dramatically reduce risk and severity.

We’re here to help change those stats for good.

What you’ll get when you join (for FREE!):

👶 Exclusive in-person events for expectant and new moms (registry tips, nursery prep, and 4th trimester support)
📱 Digital conversations so you can share the highs and lows with women who just get it
🤝 Real community and resources to walk with you through pregnancy and postpartum
🎁 First access to beautiful new products, gifts, and helpful tools curated by moms for moms

This isn’t just another class or parenting group. It’s a safe space. A place where your story matters and your transition into motherhood is honored.

  • Mommy makeover?

Has anyone had the mommy makeover? I’m now 3 years postpartum after 4 kids and the stomach is…not the vibe anymore. If you’ve done it, is it worth it? How do you navigate explaining this and your recovery to young kids?

  • Discerning when to “push” your child

I know this is kid specific BUT generally speaking, how do you know when/how much to push/motivate your child? One of my kids doesn’t really seem interested in much. Extra curriculars, school work etc I just want them to be interested in something, anything at this point. Not depressed. Would rather just hang out.

  • Try this!

    I'm never on the mood...
I ordered from amazon - Foria Awaken Arousal Oil. It's designed to get you in the mood, it's not magic but definitely helps. Try it 10-15 minutes before intimacy. it aims to enhance sensation, relaxation and prometes climax. Smells great!

  • 5 yr old wakes at night & comes into our bed

My youngest son comes into our bed every night around 3am. We let him sleep with us the rest of the night- I'm too tired to get up and walk him back to bed every night. This has been happening for about a year. He also has a lot of trouble falling asleep without one of us laying with him until he doses off. He has expressed that he really hates sleeping alone. We have 3 boys (11,8 & 5) and they all have their own rooms. Any tips?! Would love for him to not come into our bed!

My 10 year old has been questioning if God is real and heaven. We have been having some great, open convos but would love any suggestions or resources so I can be better prepared to help him navigate this.

  • How long is too long for a lingering cold?

My son started daycare for the first time the first week of January. He got sick right away (to be expected) with a cold and cough, no temperature. However, it's been lingering and he still have congestion and a bit of a cough now three weeks later. How long is too long for a cold before I should be concerned? Or is this just daycare right of passage?
