Drinks: Find some mocktail recipes you love, and romanticize them. I make mine in wine glasses in the evening, but they're really my "sleepy mom" mocktails. My go to: Organic tart cherry juice, plain sparking water and fresh squeezed lime over ice. If you have magnesium in the powder form, that's a great supplement to add before bed.

I also find that parenting "sober" is one million times better. I feel less irritable, I'm never hungover, I sleep better, and I don't feel frustrated if they wake up in the middle night, etc. I also work full time so to lose a day or hours at this point in my life with a hangover just isn't going to work for me.

If you do go somewhere and choose to drink, consider opting for someting with low alcohol congtent. My favortie is a Pét-nat, short for pétillant naturel. It's a natural sparkling wine that is made with minimal intervention & usually very low alc content. You can find Pét-nats at Whole Foods. My favorite selection is at any Tom's Market or Meteor Coffee (they have a wall of great wine).

Two-year old only wants to be heldGet a good carrier for your back or invest in the Tush Baby! OR lay the brown roller paper down on your kitchen floor, tape it down with painters tape next to you, and give her crayons or stickers so she can "play" but still well within your orbit. Ugh. So hard - these velcro kids! Here's the paper I'm talking about: https://amzn.to/4iBL2gl

One of my kids does not listen. Fearful i'm raising a disrespectful kidWe feel this way about our youngest, and we both read Hunt Gather Parent. It really did help & I was so appreciative of some of the principals & I do think it applies to all ages. Another good resource is Dr. Becky Good Inside. A lot of good content on her website for your sons age.

School lunches, HELP!I dread and hate the idea of packing school lunches for the next decade+. My kids are 2 and 5. My oldest can't have: soy, egg, peanut and tahini in her lunch due to allergies in the class (fml). Any favorite Pinterest links or accounts you follow on IG for lunch ideas?

Does anyone have a good evening mocktail recipe?I've stopped drinking, but find myself missing the ritual of an evening glass of wine.
