Getting to the bottom of what is causing the constipation is key. Is the child withholding? Is there any anxiety around pooping that is playing a role? I often see food sensitivities as being an underlying cause and removing these foods can make a world of difference. Mag citrate and vitamin C are beneficial. "P" fruits can also help with occasional constipation - prunes, plums, pears.

I recommend using EWG (Environmental Working Group) to verify if an item is truly “clean”. They have an app that rates items based on their toxicity. Sephora has a way to filter down to items they consider clean and Target now has a “clean” label they put on skincare items as well. Take these with a grain of salt, though, because items Target considers clean don’t always rate well on EWG. www.CredoBeauty.com and www.thedetoxmarket.ca are online stores that carry non-toxic brands.
