To date, one of our best vacations was a 2 week road trip across N. And S Dakota., Wyoming and Colorado. We camped, hiked, went to a rodeo, hot springs, traveled through bear country and drove alongside wild buffalo. My kids still talk about it!

Summer babysitting rates@OneMinute said in Summer babysitting rates:
Curious, do most people do a flat weekly rate or hourly rate for their summer babysitters? We do hourly right now for the afternoons she helps us but it will add up quickly with her helping us more this summer.
We’ve always done hourly for our babysitters over summer, primarily because our schedule, and sometimes we would find that the Sitter’s schedule would change. I did try to commit to three days a week for a certain amount of hours each day so she could guarantee a certain amount per week and if she ended up not babysitting on one of those regular three days, we would make up the hours in a date night or on another day.
The hourly rate worked for us because we weren’t committing to five days a week 9 to 5 for example.
