NO you are NOT overreacting!!!! I am a certified SLP and I can say, your child should be babbling at 6 months (worst case 1yr. Unless you had special circumstances like prematurity- but even then an SLP can help). Far too often, I see kids coming too late rather than getting on target sooner!!!! Development doesn't skip a beat!!!!! Early intervention is BEST, research has even proven it!!!!!

Toddler isn’t babbling- speech therapy help! -
ADHD but Not Ready to MedicateOkay so I like to be as homepatjic as possible, however my kid continued to struggle with school despite tutoring and being a collab class. After putting her on the generic form of Vyvance (which can't not be used to make street drugs like Ritalin and Aderol), she has become a straight A student and able to execute more directions at home without forgetting. Not to mention, her confidence level with school is finally coming along and so excited to do so well after her hard efforts have felt like they are finally being paid off. I swear I used to be so anti- but the difference overall in my kid's success and happiness makes me feel like it was the right decision for her. Good luck and only you can do what you think is right for your child.

To be honest, I used to love it, but after having kids I feel a lil awkward. So, did you used to enjoy it? If so, then you just have to push through the mental issue. If not, make sure he is using a soft tongue against your clitoris on both sides. If he is just trying to shove his tongue in your vagina, then you will get little to no pleasure (or at least that has been my experience).
