Okay, during your childbirth era, postpartum etc., when did you begin working out consistently? What did it look like? How much grace did you give yourself with a new baby and how much did you pressure yourself to prioritize your physical health and fitness?

I think it’s different for every person and every pregnancy. With my first, I started walking a week postpartum and then incorporating light workouts around a month pp when my Dr cleared me. Second baby was night and day different…I am 14 months pp right now and JUST now starting to work out again. Give yourself so much grace! What worked for me with my first baby did not with my second (at ALL) and that’s ok. Personally, I do think prioritizing mental health (and spiritual health if that’s your thing) should be a first step and then fitness comes when you have bandwidth!

It was harder for me after each pregnancy but I also gave myself more grace each pregnancy bc each kid will do that to you. The first baby I was back doing HIIT work outs at 10ish weeks. My third kid I truly didn't start working out until at least a year. I was busy with two others and working etc
Do what feels best for YOU and no one else.

Walking with the baby postpartum was the best reentry into exercise for me. Its a win win for you and the baby and gets you out of the house and moving without the pressure of a gym. I highly recommend this you tube channel for workouts at home. She has a great postpartum workout list. My youngest is now 3 years old and I am still doing her workouts for strength training!

@Kbwd4 thank you so much, girl! Yes, prioritizing mental and spiritual health is definitely necessary for me, too. Thank you so much!☺️
