Christian-based counselor?

any recs for a Christian-based counselor for kids? My son is 7 and is TERRIFIED of rain. He’s always been a little anxious but this is taking it to the next level. It’s been going on for a few months and the recent floods in the Hill Country / this rainy summer has made us be in a constant state of trying to regulate his emotions. Thanks!

Not sure if anyone in this practice is christian based, but would recommend Capital OCD.

Would recommend the folks at Mindful Connections. It’s been over 2 years since we went to them so def call and get a feeling if it’s a good fit.
To narrow some choices down you ideally want someone who is an actual CBT therapist and doesn’t just have the skills of one. They can be hard to find when combined with the age you need.

For adults I highly recommend Michele Hake, PhD, LCSW. I found out about her through grace covenant church.
If she can’t help your kid, she can refer you to someone similar to her but focuses on kids. You can email her: Michelevhake@gmail.com
