How much is your housekeeper?
-
Hi Austin moms, how much do you pay your housekeeper, and what does she do for that amount?
For example-
Mondays $225 whole house takes 4ish hours (2ppl)
Thursdays $130 2ish hours and that’s a tidy plus washing and folding and putting away laundry. Now that we’re settling into our life as a family of 5, there’s just so many piles of stuff everywhere. Our kids are little and require a lot of attention, help, and we have a lot of potty accidents. I realize that it’s time for our oldest child to start doing a little more, but I sort of wish I had our housekeeper come over 3x per week with a solid plan for what to do each time she comes.
I will say- I ordered a Hidden Helper from amazon and the kids have started to help with the dishes more. That thing’s been great.
Tips appreciated.
Thanks moms! -
$180 for a clean (team of 4, takes 2ish hours)
$25/hr for a tidy+fold laundry+general pick up (1 lady that stays for 4hrs).I tried to do this myself but I work full time and it’s simply not feasible. I was absolutely drowning without help and it’s the best use of our money. Everyone is happier

Our housekeeper is $120 and she comes twice per month. Our house is about 2400 sq ft, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. I've gotten some outrageous quotes along the way!!

We pay $135 for one person every other week. We also have a laundry girl that comes every Saturday. She’s $20/hr and she is typically there for 3 hours on Saturday mornings. I have all the laundry clean in the baskets (not necessarily folded) and she organizes and puts it all away. I am a working mom so it’s the best $ I spend for laundry help!

We have two women who come and clean our home twice a month for $200 per visit. They are usually there for 5ish hours, but do not do laundry. Our two elementary-aged kids do have simple chores that help us keep the house tidy. Just be sure you explain, model, assist and then oversee the first couple times they take on a chore! (I forgot that the first time…lol)
**I do occasionally hire The Cesta (Austin area laundry service) who are great! I wash/dry they fold/hang and put away- laundry fairies! Price depends on how much you have but usually I pay between $50-150 for this service. -
I pay $140 every other week. Our home is 4 bedrooms about 3700sqft. I know that’s on the low end. I wish they did a more thorough job but I’ve yet to look for someone new because I know I’m getting a deal! They don’t do laundry and they tend to miss some things - I’m picky though.
