Colonics?
-
Has anyone had a colonic? What can I expect? Would love to hear your experience. Doing it to hopefully flush everything out. Sorta nervous and also wtf am I doing?

Yes, I used to get them regularly. I’d lose a couple of pounds each time. I honestly absolutely hated it but I do think it’s important to helping detox and flush out your system. The amount that came out of me was alarming.

I actually have not done one yet either, but am going to try it as well! I think it's great for detox and to flush things out. Let us know how it goes!!

I did one years ago, and I opted for the "gravity method" and remain in the room with you the entire time. That made me feel less anxiety about the whole situation. It was a really great reset, and then I made an effort to really change my diet/lifestyle etc.

I went through a season post covid where I was trying to heal my body from all the damage I put it through during shelter in place LOL
I did colonics, ozone, etc I stopped the colonics because it was stressful for me because it was so uncomfortable. They stick a water tube up your bum and then turn a faucet of water on and slowly fill with water. It doesn't hurt but it gives you an intense urge of needing to have diarrhea right then and there and there's no stopping it. Stomach cramping etc then they turn the faucet the opposite way and you can see what comes out of you due to clear tubing. It's so gross and disgusting. They do this multiple times until you are cleared out. I had to lay on my side during this process. I would literally try and meditate and count down the minutes until it was over.
I felt amazing after but during the process I hated it so much.I only tried one place so maybe I'll try somewhere else and see if i have a better experience. IDK maybe I won't because I can't imagine going thru it again.
Hope my trip down memory lane helps! -
What exactly are you trying to flush out? There’s really no evidence these do anything your body isn’t already doing.
