We use spray by the brand Kinfield and also use the Buzz Patches.
It helps but it’s not 100% fool proof. My kids love it though haha -
The badger brand is very clean. We also like naturapel

My daughter gets horrible bites and gets attacked the moment she walks outside!
This has worked really well for us: Proven Bug Spray
It uses Picardin which is "less toxic than Deet" but really works.
