I am taking my husband on one of his dream trips where we will rent a boat on Lake Powell for the family to surf and wakeboard!

Nice dinner at carve and homemade cards from the kids! Super easy and chill! You can never go wrong with some homemade cards!

@GetInTheCar I’m getting my husband a custom grill set with his name engraved on the tools, plus a funny ‘Grill Master’ apron. I’m also putting together a little gift basket with his favorite snacks and a handmade card from the kids to make it extra special!

Zero plans. Actually keep forgetting that’s next weekend…
Hopefully he’ll want to smoke something or grill something and will likely get nicer cuts of meat we normally wouldn’t get. And make his favorite desserts. That’s about all I have in me…

Growing up, we always went to see a movie for Father’s Day with my dad and now making that the tradition for our family! But my husband’s favorite thing we’ve ever gotten for him was a battery powered leaf blower. He uses it almost daily several years later.

I also have to remind myself that what he wants is time with the whole family, which is different than I (primary parent) feel about Mother’s Day. So we just lean in to doing things as a family with church, maybe lunch, and now a movie at Drafthouse so that we spend lots of time together!

I have notoriously hard to buy for men in my life so here is a list of somewhat original ideas they seemed to have liked.

                Clothing:
Vuori! So soft and washes well so you won't be annoyed.

Rayban Wayfarers- they look good on everyone!

Floafers- waterproof loafer/ drivers. Great for summer!

                Ugg ascot slipper-
                www.nordstrom.com/s/4922169?color=219&size=7&width=m

Mizzen and main shirts- they are a thin, self wicking material and perfect for Texas heat. St. Bernard and Nords usually have them in stock if you don't have time to order.

                Golf:
Guilt free golf or promised series of future golf outings. Like really guilt free. Want to go crazy? Suggest or plan a golf men's only golf trip.

Hack motion golf sensor- measures your golf swing and helps you make adjustments. This year's gift so will report back!

                A nice golf shoe bag

                Personalized club covers

                Wine:
The cold cork- Got this for my dad. Flash chills wine or other bevs.

Coravin wine preservation system. A must for a wino

                Wellness:
Anything therabody-My husband uses the mini gun almost every day. If you want to spend, the leg compressors are amazing too!

Oura ring- want your hubby to cut back on drinking? You can really see the negative impact on and stress alcohol adds to your body and I guarantee he won't want to ever again. May not be good for everyone lol

Higher dose PEMF mat-This is expensive but is my husband's current favorite thing. He swears it relaxes him every night.

A good portable cooling fan. The specific brand we have is no longer made but if you can find an Icy Breeze Buddy or Cooler/Portable AC on the resale market, they are awesome! Here is something similar

                https://www.sharperimage.com/view/product/Portable+Evaporative+Cooler+by+Sharper+Image/206051

Charging station with Valet for watch and wallet
                Watch rotator

                Sentimental:
You can find all kinds of engraved things on Etsy. I had some pics my kids drew engraved on a keychain and money clip one year. I thought about having them write something for cufflinks.

Bought a cheap wooden frame and had the kids decorate it for my dad. Put a pic of them with him in it called it a day. He teared up!

                Misc
Subscription boxes- bacon of the month, Breo Box, GQ and Gentleman's Box are all good

Local spot monogram lady has tons of stuff. Snagged a Jon hart shag bag there for storage of golf balls, but make it stylish ya know. Also then no balls rolling around the house… win win?

I’m sending him golfing with his dad for the day and home made cards from the kids. Super simple!

@GetInTheCar if my husband doesnt tell me what he wants to do or what he wants then we jut go out to lunch. This is fair because I tell him exactly what i want to do for mother's day so it eliminates the mental effort of thinking of an idea. Maybe in 10 years we'll actually be able to plan things as surprises. It's just too much right now and that's life!
