Dansk and Oneida are two brands that have a good heavy duty silverware option.

My grandmother was a silverware snob... here's the brands she always recommended:
Alessi – Super modern and stylish
Koch & Bergfeld – German brand
Christofle – the fanciest and french!
Robbe & Berking – Top-tier German silverware, this will definitely be pricey!
Oneida – great options more affordable.
        Cutipol – sleek cool styles!

You may also be able to find some of these brands and sets used for a great price at estate sales, ebay, etc.

I hate to go this direction- but if u have to buy something in order for her not to judge you - is she really a close friend? I saw this with love (and of course bias - because I’m a therapist). Sounds like a great place to work on boundaries - and seeking friends who don’t judge you. ❤️❤️❤️

@SustainableMama I agree. Also what a weird thing to get judged on? Maybe she shouldn’t be privileged to eat at your house lol
