Ohhhh Since I just went through it, our lady put oil in there hair and then used the nit comb, wiping it on a wet paper towel as she went to check for eggs or lice. You can also use dawn dish soap (which she did) on your kids hair to help loosen up eggs/lice .

They are sand colored and hard to see.  The best way to make sure your child doesn’t have them is to use a nit comb through their hair to see if there are eggs or actual bugs
You can get a nit comb and lice preventative spray at HEB.
And tie your girls hair up every day. I promise you, it’s worth it
