Chapter Book Ideas for 6.5 year old

Hi!
My son loves to read the dog man books (light chapter books) and we are looking for a few similar books for him to start reading that are a fit for his age (6.5 years old). Would love any and all recs!!

Dog Man, Babysitters Club (girls), Magic Tree House, Wings of Fire. Diary of a Pug was okay. Captain Underpants.
We also get the kids National Geographic magazines, Focus on the family magazine and highlights magazines that my kids enjoy reading. -
An idea from our elementary school librarian is to start Harry Potter but read one book every summer or every Christmas. That was as the books progress the child is older and can handle it. A fun idea for parents+kids

My 7 year old loves diary of a wimpy kid and investigators!
Head to your local library - there’s a section for young readers. That way he can look around and see what looks interesting!
