I’m struggling with accepting the reality that the vast majority of moms are given the job of completely planning and running the summer itinerary. This is particularly mind blowing when both parents are working. Why does all the planning, registering, coordinating with friends and driving fall on to moms? Is anyone doing this differently and have advice for how to help me get to a good place about this?

I LOL at your question… summer time bitch really sums it up! I think it’s because if we left it up to them our kids would be in front of a screen 9-5, eating whatever the heck they want. But really, not sure my husband even would begin to know where to start.

Yeah this is such a great question that I can relate to deeply. What if husbands were in charge of lunches all summer? Not nearly the same mental load but at least it’s something and visual way everyday they’re helping
