Have you tried deleting it off your phone? No app
Also I have muted or unfollowed any Instagram accounts that are focused on purchasing through Amazon. Fight back against the addictive algorithm!!!! 💪🏼

Omg this was me!!! I had my husband change the password and not tell me. It was extreme but needed. And I detoxed and when I felt in control again I logged back in. It’s just like social media addicting AF!

Same @Black-Parrot!!!!!! We do not need all that junk from China being shoved down our throats! I unfollowed so many people who were just selling me that trash! I basically just stopped! I only use it if I absolutely have to… ie “goodnites pull ups” bc I can’t find them in store anymore.

I agree that it’s all from China now!! Maybe it always was but for some reason it feels cheaper in the last year or so. I only use in dire situations. I actually gave it up for the summer as we don’t “need” anything. I also unfollowed the influencers. I’m waiting for a documentary to come out about the influencer+amazon partnership and how it’s negatively affected American households. I don’t know if it’s being developed but it should be!

All that rambling to say, just go cold turkey and give it completely. I promise you’re not missing out. It’s not like it was when it first launched. It’s all crap now

Woof this is a tricky one…fellow addict here too. Lately I’ve been adding things to cart and sitting on them for at least a few days and 9/10 times when I go back I realize I don’t need any of it! My “save for later” section is massive but it helps me realize I don’t need it and can reference said item later!

The struggle is real! I now try to only use Amazon for things that I can only find there. It’s helped me to unfollow Instagram influencers and not use “like to know it” because then I was really buying stuff like home decor and clothes I didn’t need! I’m trying to follow more home cooks to inspire me to cook at home more - trying is the key word but what I see in my feed really affects my mood. I’m not even into farming, gardening or baking bread but I like following accounts like that to see how others live so simply 🤣. For some reason it’s so satisfying to watch their reels. #goals

Same @Peach-Zebra! Another vote for adding to cart and then waiting a few days. I almost always decide I don’t need whatever it is!

Deleting the app from my phone helped greatly! I now have to go to safari and log-in each time and usually by the time I’ve done that, I’ve forgotten what I “needed”! #mombrain

I had a reality check when I was going through my budget one day. I stopped all of my auto ship items. I also add things to my cart but will wait a few days to click purchase. I have a lot of items in save for later too.
