We fully vaccinated both of our kids for the long standing vaccines that have been around for years. I believe that if something was around in the 60s really bad and then vaccine helped eradicate that, then why would I purposely put my child at risk for something that can be so easily prevented? However, I am definitely more cautious of any newer vaccines (rsv, covid, etc) because I want longer term data to make an informed decision. It’s a hard decision but you know what works best for your child with guidance from your healthcare provider!

We follow the CDC vaccine schedule and have had no issues. That being said, we don't vaccinate for flu, covid or RSV. I feel safe with the vaccines that have been around and studied for years, but the new ones make me nervous.

We also reschedule any vaccines if we have any sort of sick symptoms, and we do a detox epsom salt bath after all vaccines.

I was good with vaccines until covid which imo exposed a lot. My first two kids are fully vaxxed and my 3rd only has the most essential/important ones. You have to make the best choice for you!

Before my first child was born, who is now 5, we were very on the fence of what we were going to do. We knew we wanted to delay the first few weeks or months of life, but really wasn’t sure beyond that. When interviewing pediatricians for our first born, one of them gave us the book titled, “How to End the Autism Epidemic”. This is what led us down our journey of not vaccinating. We then also read “The Vaccine Friendly Plan” by Dr. Paul Thomas (pediatrician). Since then he has come out with another book- if you aren’t familiar with him, you can find him on Facebook! Wealth of knowledge and so interesting to get a pediatrician’s perspective. We don’t shame one way or the other- we just did our research and found it very interesting that a pediatrician gave us this book to read, that led us on our journey.

All our kids are fully vaccinated and on schedule. The only vaccines I didn't give for my kids were covid, and I am torn on if I will ever give the HPV, but my kids are young so hopefully there will be more research by the time I need to make that decision.

Fully vaccinated according to CDC schedule. No history with either parent of allergy or any reason to delay. I’m not really interested in debating people’s reasoning, but I trust the judgment of experts who have years of applicable experience over my own ground-up research. Science and research point to overwhelming safety of vaccines and my providers agree. With that, we feel confident in how we manage our children’s health. I also know that I’ll be able to tell them that I relied on experts and made the best choices with the information we had at the time.

@Purple-Animal may I ask which specific ones you gave your youngest? Thank you!

@mommysaur88 take a look at what the EMA recommends. I tend to trust the EMA more than the FDA. Obvi include your pediatrician in the discussion.
Dr Sears has a book and pdf of a slower schedule. It may be outdated as my kids are older but also may have come out with revisions, I haven’t checked.

We follow all our pediatricians advice on vaccines and schedule with zero issues! It relieves my anxiety knowing that they are safer when out in public and around a lot of people when they are up to date!
