The flies are OUT of control around our house and in the house...fruit flies are also terrible!! Our garbage is around the side of our house and they are swarming the garbage cans, but they slowly make their way inside. Does anyone have any tips/tricks to get rid of these things???

We have this thing hanging by our trash and it’s significantly minimized them! We had it last summer and if you leave it out too long, it starts to smelly pretty bad, so replace it if that happens. I thought we had a dead animal under our deck it smelled so bad until I realized it was the fly catcher. Also it’s not actually reusable bc it’s disgusting. Ok I had this problem too and easy solution! Get a mason jar, poke 3-4 small holes in lid then pour in some vinegar and dish soap. It doesn’t stink and they flock to it!

Buy a “Safer Home Indoor Plug-In Fly Trap” on Amazon, the device plus glue cards (later can buy refill cards only). Plug in in kitchen, I put by fruit bowl and you will be surprised how many little things it attracts by day/week’s end. I didn’t think we had fruit flies but works decent for the big ones too.
