Hey y’all!! Gearing up to have our 3rd! I’ve always delivered at Women’s in houston. First experience was fab but postpartum nurses the 2nd time were not quite as experienced feeling. Anyone delivered here recently and had good or bad experiences? Thank you!!

I gave birth 6 years ago so I’m not sure my advice is going to very helpful. Definitely request a private suite it’s 100% worth the money and the nurses aren’t amused if you struggle with car seat when leaving

I have heard from friends and colleagues that they have made a lot of improvements over the last year in mother/baby and labor and delivery! Hope this is true for you! I am a midwife in the Houston area and would say just advocate for yourself and if you don’t feel great about a nurse ask to speak with the charge nurse and see if you can get your nursing assignment changed! I have had to do this in the NICU setting for one of my own children and it really improved our experience and I genuinely think it saved my child’s life!
