Following up on my own question...is that a thing? I bit the bullet, went and got measured, and here's the verdict: Natori, Natori, Natori.

Does anyone have any helpful tips for routines and things that help you keep your life together as the cruise ship director of the home? I feel like I’m organized but this may just not exist and all I can do is the best I can do 😂 husband is great and I can give him direct instruction but any tips to help maintain some semblance of routine/organization with all facets of life?

I dread and hate the idea of packing school lunches for the next decade+. My kids are 2 and 5. My oldest can't have: soy, egg, peanut and tahini in her lunch due to allergies in the class (fml). Any favorite Pinterest links or accounts you follow on IG for lunch ideas?

What are y’all asking for Mother’s Day? My birthday is this month too so I need specific ideas/links lol. I got a really cute bike with a basket last year that I picked out and riding bikes with my kiddos on the weekend is one of my favorite things to do! I wish I didn’t live in hilly Austin and had actual restaurants close by, but the bike is still so much fun! What else? I’ve never asked for/received jewelry - does anyone have pieces that are really special? Even inexpensive! Send me your ideas!!

Some kind of prepped salad - tuna salad, chicken salad etc..., PBJ or a rice cake with peanut butter/banana slices, a frozen meal (you know like Lean Cuisine but...elevated and organic ha), sliced up avocado with lots of salt & pepper and Cholula, or I half-ass dupe a Chick-fil-a kale salad (kale, their apple cider vinaigrette which you can buy on-brand or off, and either bacon or pre-made grilled chicken kind of cubed up)

    I'm always hungry. Clearly.

5:30 AM workout class three days/week and it’s SO hard to get into the routine, but once you’re in it, you won’t regret it! I make my husband get up with the kids the night before if someone isn’t sleeping. He knows that I need good sleep before my MWF early mornings!

@monet2988 I tell my husband exactly what I want. Last year it was a beach cruiser. The year before that it was la luminere bracelets with the kid's names. I send the link and act surprise when I open it. I know better now. The first couple mother's days were not the best

We've worked hard to foster a family community where our kids don't feel like they need to be in competition with one another, but they're close in age and the same gender, so it seems to be happening some anyway. Usually it's over dumb stuff like who gets to pick the first song in the car or open the mailbox, but I wish I could make it stop! Would love any tips. It's not ever a huge deal, but it happens enough times throughout the day to frustrate me, and it's not a pattern i want to continue.

I'm someone who typically gets in over my head when it comes to organizing because I'm like it "all needs to go!" but I've found if I set like 30 minutes and pick a small section, I'm more effective. Example: my closet, is organized by short/sleeveless and long sleeve and then color. So I would go and try on everything in one color a day. That way it wasn't overwhelming but I could see the progress.

Kids are 7 and 3, and I'm a SAHM who is overstimulated, overtouched, and not exactly feeling like she's in her "Sexy Era." Once a week, max twice. Morning is an absolute NO GO. I'm not a morning person for literally ANY activity, but the likelihood of my kids waking up and/or busting in just absolutely kills my vibe. (Actually...it can't kill it cause it never even started). I've had to really battle to get my husband to understand that one!

We are having trouble getting pregnant with our third which is bizarre bc 1&2 were not difficult whatsoever. It’s really heartbreaking and completely unexpected. It’s grief but also trying to remain hopeful. How do I manage this rollercoaster?

@WalmartGreeter I have it in-hand, just haven't sat down and started reading. We're already committed to delaying access to smart devices/social media knowing what we know, but I appreciate reading the continued research being done. I'm interested in what it'll have to say.

@Whats4dinner appreciate your perspective as someone who's already had to navigate this! What did you feel like was the hardest app, both to manage as a parent and how it affected/impacted your kid(s)? And did you feel like when you walked through this you had a solid group of parents who were phasing these at the same time/discussing together?

Reasonably happy 😂😂 we have a lot of friends that do Mexico and choose resorts that have a kids club. We haven’t done this but they all really love it, and they are normal people lol

This is SUCH a struggle because I was never taught about my hormones! And now at 34 I am learning about my own body!

I wanted to share with the Mombrain community an upcoming event in Austin on Friday, May 17th at Vintage Book Store about this topic!

There's a woman named Bailey who wrote a book and is on a mission to give girls a better foundation by providing hormone education early!

She'll be selling copies of her books + hosting a discussion about this topic but she also does 1:1 coaching!

Register for the event here: https://lu.ma/8j1t8ssn?tk=bsiriF
